7 Things You Should Never Do Right After Having Sex. Keep It Sexy But Not Sloppy!

Let’s be fair, in a country that considers sex to be some type of taboo, the internet in its infinite wisdom is our only saviour. I think we have all read a lot about what one should do before, during and after sex. Be it hygiene and health tips or how to set the mood, we have read it all. However, how many of us have read about what NOT to do. I sure haven’t and decided to help everyone out by making a list of 7 things you should not do right after having sex,

1. Don’t Use Fancy Intimate Washes

While hygiene is necessary, your intimate parts and the skin there is still sensitive after sex. Using something with too much fragrance or harsh chemicals might do you more harm than good, causing infections or rashes which you don’t want. It is better to just pee and use water with some unscented soap which is good for sensitive skin.

2. Don’t Wear Fancy Or Tight Lingerie

While sex is all about being alluring and sexy, don’t wear lingerie after the deed. Cotton panties are okay as they are breathable. However, it is ideal to go nude or wear loose clothing as bodily fluids and friction can spread the bacteria around. Allowing your intimate parts to breathe will help.

3. Don’t Put Your Sex Toys Away Without Sanitising

This one should be obvious but please sanitise anything that will be coming in contact with your intimate parts. You obviously do not want your sex toys to be a breeding ground for infections after using them.

4. Don’t Start Scrolling

Okay, please! Regardless of whether you plan to stick around post-sex or not, don’t just start scrolling on your phone after sex. Actually have some skin-to-skin contact. Cuddle and hold each other. No screen time in general, please!

5. Don’t Just Sit There In Silence

So this one depends on your relationship with your partner. If you have been together and having sex for a while then maybe you both are comfortable with each other’s silences and that is completely fine. However, if you are still getting to know each other and building a bond, communicate. Be open about what your likes, dislikes and preferences in bed are. Ask your partner whether they enjoyed it or not. That way not only will you guys know each other better but will have a better time next time.

6. Don’t Avoid Peeing

While wanting to stick around cuddle with your partner might be very tempting after sex it is important you pee. Peeing will help avoid UTI causing bacteria and other infections, according to sources

7. Don’t Avoid Washing Your Hands

While you are in there to pee, wash your hands too! You have touched your partner’s genitals during sex. It is always better to maintain hygiene by not touching surfaces with the same hands. Please go and wash your hands!

Well, hopefully, you will keep these tips in mind the next time you get some action. Regardless of whether you are monogamous or into flings, it is important to maintain certain practices to make sex safe and enjoyable for both, your partner and you.
