How To Lose A Guy? 11 Tips To Get Your Man To Dump You. Psst, Might Take Longer Than 10 Days!
Go get dumped, ladies!

Remember Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey starrer romantic comedy film How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days. In case, you haven’t, the film follows a magazine writer, Andie Anderson who decides to date a guy and then get him to dump her in order to write an article on ‘How to lose a guy in 10 days?’ but things get complicated after she ends up wooing Benjamin Barry aka Ben who has made a bet with his colleagues to make a woman fall in love with him. And we all know how all this ends but on a serious note, what is a girl supposed to do if she wants to get rid of a guy and make him dump her instead of being the bearer of bad news?
While the film was a romantic comedy, in real life, breaking up with your partner can be hard. More so when your reason for the breakup is something which you know won’t make sense to your partner. In times like these, it can be extremely tough to convey to your partner that you don’t want to be with them and while we always recommend having a tough conversation, it’s not something everyone can do. In case, you want to let them down by actually letting them down and showcasing problematic behaviour to make them break up with you, we’ve got you some tips!
Well, here’s your guide to actually losing a guy and it may or may not take longer than 10 days!
1. Act Over-Possessive: No person wants their partner to constantly fawn over them and act like their owner and not their partner. The best way to irritate him to the point that he breaks up with you is to act controlling and over-possessive to the point of no return.

2. Take Over Their Personal Space: Even in relationships personal space is extremely important and if you want your partner to be the one to end your relationship, start by taking over their personal space. Check their phone, and Instagram handle, rearrange their room and do other things that you know will annoy the living daylights out of them.
3. Ask For Too Much Too Soon: If you’ve barely just started dating, you can end your relationship for good by asking them for too much, too soon. Start talking about marriage, kids, going on trips, buying property together and other such things.
4. Ask To Involve Parents: Meeting the parents and making your relationship official like that is a big step in relationships. So, the best way to scare him away is to ask them to make your relationship official and meet your parents or make you meet his parents. You can also get him to talk to your parents on a video call or invite them to family get-togethers or even better ask them to be your date at a cousin’s wedding!
5. Social Media PDA: If there’s anything more annoying than someone taking over your personal space, it’s someone flaunting their relationship on social media for the sake of it. Make your relationship Instagram official and make sure to annoy your partner to pose with you and post with you.

6. Bad Sex: It’s outright mean to tell your partner that they’re bad in bed and it’ll leave them feeling inferior and traumatised. So, don’t do that but feel free to be so terrible at sex that they’ll want to put an end to your relationship. Psst…hygiene plays an important role in good sex.
7. Stop Having Sex Altogether: If acting like you’re bad in bed is not your cup of tea, you can always avoid having sex and reduce physical and emotional intimacy. This will make your partner feel like there’s a huge gap between the two of you.
8. Embarrass Him: Playing dumb or spilling food on yourself or being extra loud at an especially quiet restaurant is a great way to make him feel embarrassed about being with you. Baby talk is also a great way to embarrass your partner. The minute you meet him, turn on your baby tone and loudly ask him, “mere baby ne thana thaya?”
9. Cry Over Your Ex: No one wants a partner who still isn’t over their ex. The best way to repel someone you’ve just started dating is to constantly bring up your ex and cry over him. You can also get drunk (read: act drunk) and bawl your eyes out over an ex.
10. Never Stop Calling/Texting: A clingy partner is always a turn-off so, turn him off by being clingy AF. Keep calling him or texting him all the time but be careless when he calls you. The rule is that you’re allowed to miss his call but he’s not!

11. Take Your Pick Between Meera And Veronica: If your partner wants to be in a serious relationship, act like Veronica from Cocktail and be a total party girl. If he’s looking for “wife material” act the total opposite of that and if he’s looking for “girlfriend material” act like Meera and play the “bahu material”. But mind you, this only works on men who are old school and anyone who is a feminist or a truly modern man, he won’t be bothered by this behaviour.
TBH we would still recommend clear communication if you want to break up with your partner instead of going all out and putting so much effort into getting him to break up with you!
