World Dairy Sumit 2022: PM Narendra Modi Hails Women As ‘Real Heroes’ Of Indian Dairy Sector. Naari Shakti At Its Peak!
I always love to read about women’s contribution to the growth of society and the economy. It is encouraging, empowering and gratifying at the same time to know that the female force is stepping up and working towards being financially independent. Women’s contribution in almost all walks of life is appreciated but their hard work in the dairy sector often goes unnoticed. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi did draw the nation’s attention to the contribution made to the dairy sector by women. At the International Dairy Federation World Dairy Summit (IDF WDS) 2022, PM Modi shed light on the female force working in the dairy sector and called them real heroes.
As per reports, Modiji called women the ‘real heroes’ of India’s dairy sector. He also gave big numbers regarding the industry saying that India produced 146 tonnes of milk which has now increased to 210 tonnes. Talking about employment in the sector, PM Modi said that 8 crore families are employed in the dairy sector today. He also said that India has now gone on to become the largest producer of dairy products worldwide and that is possible because of the efforts of small-scale dairy farmers.

Talking about Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, the prime minister also said that it is after 48 years, World Diary Summit 2022 is being organised in India. Modiji said that now, our nation is in a position to export the milk surplus. The IDF WDS 2022 is a 4-day event taking place in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Narendra Modi had inaugurated the event. Here, he also shed light on how the digital payments system has now proven of great help to the farmers.
