PM Narendra Modi Pushes India For Flexible Workplaces And WFH To Ensure Women Participation In Labour Force. We Think It Is A Good Idea

It is true that India has the fastest-growing economy in the world. And the credit for that goes to no one else but the labour force in our country. While this is a good thing, the ugly truth of this is the fact that women’s participation in it is the lowest when compared to other emerging economies. In fact, the data collected by the government in 2021, showed that women’s participation in labour force was just 25%. With this in mind, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, said that the country can use flexible workplaces and enable work from home so as to encourage more and more women to work.

PM Narendra Modi recently opened a conference of state labour minister, saying that India can and should use flexible workplaces and enable work from home practices to ensure that more women join the labour force. It was on Thursday that the labour force played a key role in building a “developed nation in Amrit Kaal (golden age)”.
