8 Useful Tips To Make The Most Of Your Favourite Perfume!

Perfumes are like little bottles of a magic potion. They can transport people to a time, evoke nostalgia, and make an instant impact, an impact that lasts long after the person has left. They are a great way to leave an impression, to express yourself and it even acts as an extension of your personality. We have all been in that place where your favourite perfume bottles is down to the last few sprays and you feel like you haven’t got enough of it. If you want to make the most of it, we have a few tips. Read up.

1. Don’t store your perfumes in a damp place

Heat, light and humidity will affect the quality of your perfume dramatically so avoid keeping it in your bathroom or next to a window. Store it in a cool, dry spot on your dresser. Isn’t that where you wear it anyway? As a finishing touch?

2. Walk into the scent

For a lighter scent, you can spray it in the air and walk into it like they do in the movies. The spray won’t be concentrated in one area and it will evenly spread across your body. This way, you won’t be assaulting people’s nostrils.

3. Apply Vaseline before spraying it

Oily skin tends to hold the scent for a longer time. No, we do not recommend rolling around in oil. Be a little subtle. If your skin is not naturally oily, then apply Vaseline on your pulse points before spraying so that it can hold on to the fragrance a little longer.

4. Pour some perfume into your unscented lotion

You can always wear your favorite perfume as a moisturizer by pouring some of it in your lotion.  Especially when the bottle of perfume is going to end. Use every last drop of it.

5. Don’t rub your wrists after spraying it

The top notes of the fragrance will disappear really quick if you rub your wrists after spraying it. Let it air dry without touching or rubbing. And your perfume will stick around much longer.

6. Spray the fragrance on your brush before combing your hair

Spraying an alcohol-based spray on your hair may dry it out. But if you are walking around with second day hair, you might need it to smell better. Here’s what. It is better to spray it on your brush before you comb your hair so that your hair will be lightly scented and left undamaged.

7. Get a good night’s sleep

If spraying your perfumes on your clothes is too mainstream, then spray your pillow cover with calming scents. Hit the pillow to get your zzzs engulfed with your favourite scent.

8. Quick touch-ups with a Q-tip

If you have been sweating profusely and need to smell better because you’re giving direct competition to skunks, spray cotton swabs with perfume and seal it in a zip-lock bag. Carry it with you wherever you go and you can use the swab for a quick touch-up on the go.
