This Man From UP Raped And Threatened To Leak Nudes Of Aspiring Actress
We live in an infuriating world that is unkind towards women. That much is no secret. Even though the women’s movement has progressed considerably over the last few years, we are still struggling when it comes to violence against women. Every day, new cases of rape, dowry deaths and murder come to light. Shockingly, no one has taken cognisance of the matter strongly enough to actually put preventive measures in place. For how much longer will women suffer at the hands of these beasts? Recently, a man from Uttar Pradesh raped and blackmailed a woman in Vadodra, Gujarat.
On 2nd July, police officers from the Raopura police station detained a 34-year-old man for raping and extorting money from an aspiring actress in Vadodra. According to reports, the accused created multiple fake accounts in the name of women to lure in the aspiring actress. He posed as a casting director and then raped her at a hotel in Dandiya Bazaar in Vadodara.
The vicious crime didn’t stop there. The accused also threatened the aspiring actress and extorted money out of her on the pretext of making her nude photos go viral. Police officials say that this isn’t the first sexual assault the accused has been involved in.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, A Division, Megha Tewar told The Indian Express, “Initially, we thought that the accused was a resident of UP as per the complaint of the victim but during the investigation, we learned that he was in Vadodara… He raped the woman and threatened to make her nude pictures viral if she did not concede to his demands of extortion.”
During the probe, the police have found nude pictures of numerous women on the accused’s mobile phone. It seems like that is his modus operandi. He has been raping and extorting money from women for nearly five years now. They have detained him and are getting in touch with Delhi police and other agencies to see if they have similar cases pending.
Hopefully, they will be able to make a strong case against this man so that no other women fall prey to his trap.
