This Delhi Cop Carried A 82-Year-Old Woman In His Arms To A Vaccination Center. This Is So Wholesome!

Despite the raging global pandemic and all the destruction it has caused, I can’t help but notice the silver lining. Maybe I am being overly optimistic or maybe the sense of community is outweighing all the hopelessness in the air and there is a light at the end of this very dark and dingy tunnel. People are setting aside their differences, politics, religious beliefs and doing everything they can to help each other. This is the only way we are going to beat the rising number of cases. Well, of course, this and by wearing masks. Just today, there is a picture of a Delhi cop carrying an elderly woman to a vaccination centre that is winning hearts. It’s just so sweet!

Photos of Delhi police constable Kuldeep Singh carrying 82-year-old, Shaila D’Souza, to a vaccination centre in his arms have gone viral. He prides himself on not only being a cop but also a good samaritan who helps out anyone and everyone in need. When Shaila expressed her desire to get vaccinated, Kuldeep went out of his way to ensure she gets the jab. These photos show us that despite all the violence, death and sickness, humanity still has some hope left.

After helping the elderly woman, Kuldeep said, “We stay away from our homes. We see our family in people who are in distress.” He told ANI, “She is a senior citizen of my beat area. I often visit her to keep a check on her well-being. She expressed her desire of getting COVID vaccination. I spoke to my SHO and he helped her in registration and vaccination. She couldn’t walk for the past two years and the stretcher or wheelchair could not go upstairs to the vaccination centre. So I had to carried her from the second floor, took her to the hospital, got her vaccinated and dropped her back home.”

This is just so incredibly admirable. In the photos, you can see him carrying a PPE kit-clad Shaila D’souza in his arms to a vaccination centre and even carrying her up the stairs of the building. Netizens have showered Kuldeep with praise and love for his noble gesture.
