This Bride Took Her Love For Golgappas To A Whole New Level. You Do You, Girl!
Now I really love pani puri or golgappas. Actually, as a matter of fact, I love most chaats. When I go for weddings, I am not one without plan. I take a quick scan at the food counters and carefully choose from the options so I have enough space in my tummy to fit all my favourites. If you don’t do that, are you really desi? So the chaat counter remains a personal favourite where I like to invest most of my tummy’s estate. But this bride took her love for golgappas to a whole new level. And just watching her video is making me crave some right now.
A video has gone viral on the internet which shows a bride wearing a necklace and a crown made up of golgappas. The South Indian bride, dressed in bridal wear – all with the outfit and jewellery is seen smiling as someone places a crown made of golgappas on her head.

People are going gaga over the accessories made out of golgappas. In fact, all around her, you can see the food item – on her plate, on her head, around her neck. While some people wondered if it is a tradition, users added that it’s a trend. Well, I haven’t seen it anywhere. And I would probably not wear it but I would love to have like a wedding with like me having pani puri shots while on stage, or taking pheras. Except, I’d have to instruct the photographer to not click me while I have an entire golgappa in my mouth.
This reminds me of a Pakistani bride who wore jewellery made out of tomatoes on her wedding to mock the government for the hike in prices.
