What Swag! After Winning The Village Elections, This UP Bride Arrived At Her In-Laws’ In A Helicopter!
I have heard and seen grooms bringing their baarat in such out-of-the-box ways that I always thought that nothing can top that entry. And I always wondered if brides would ever get a chance to do that. I mean, if I was a bride, I definitely would want an over-the-top entry. If not that then I would opt for a badass entry. Because honestly why should the grooms get to bring all the swag at the wedding?
Recently, the swag level skyrocketed with the entry of the bride. On 5th July, a bride in Uttar Pradesh, Sunita Verma arrived at her in-laws’ place in a helicopter. Now, that’s how you arrive at a wedding in style!
Sunita Verma had decided to contest for the village head elections and she couldn’t do so without becoming the voter of the Alampur Kot, her in-laws’ village. So, the daughter of BJP’s city vice president of Badaun Vedram Lodh got married to Omendra Singh in a court in December 2020. But they had a wedding as per the Hindu customs on Saturday.
When speaking to the villagers, they were amused by the bride ‘s helicopter entry and also revealed that she did not campaign before the elections since she had left for Badaun after filing the nomination papers for the village head post. However, after the wedding, the husband did the canvassing for her. And Sunita Verma had won.
After hearing all the grave news about women getting subjugated to violence and abuse, this is definitely a breather. A husband supporting her wife and taking steps to help her achieve her goal is definitely a pleasant thing to see.
And honestly, if I became the village head and am getting married to such a supportive husband, you can bet all that you have that even I’d be arriving at my wedding as a bride in a chopper to celebrate it!
