A Mother Forced Her Minor Daughter To Sell Her Eggs Eight Times, Finally Arrested Along With Two Others
We frequently hear news these days that make us want to question humanity. We don’t want to believe them, and we often spend the entire day thinking about them. Especially when there are so many crimes against women occurring all over the world that it enrages you to no end. Rapes, assaults, and murders are all too common in the news. These incidents become more depressing when the culprit is the family itself. In one such incident from Tamil Nadu, a mother forced her own minor daughter to sell her eggs. Not just once, but eight times.
Three people were involved in the Tamil Nadu incident, two of whom were women. Furthermore, one of them was the mother of the little girl, who had donated her own daughter’s eggs eight times at a private fertility clinic in Erode. According to news reports, the three culprits have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and also the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act. The complaint was filed by the relatives of the girl against her mother and her partner, and the other women, the police informed.
The investigations have revealed that the girl was sexually abused by the mother’s partner, and the couple was paid ₹20,000 per egg and ₹5,000 as a broker fee. The extent to which the mother went to exploit her own child is unbearable. She even faked the girl’s Aadhaar Card with a false name, age, and marital status. As per the news, the mother even blackmailed the girl that she would kill her if she revealed anything that was happening to her. The police arrested all the culprits on June 2, and the investigation is still ongoing.
