Taliban Has Now Imposed Complete Restrictions On Women’s Entry Into Gyms And Justified It By Putting The Blame On Women!
First, the Taliban government imposes harsh laws to make women’s life in Afghanistan difficult and then go ahead and justify them by blaming the women only. Yes, the Taliban officials could not have been more illogical with their statements. Another day, and the Taliban after banning women’s entry to amusement parks have now put a complete ban on their access to the gyms too! The spokesman for the Ministry of Vice and Virtue in Taliban made the announcement and said that it will come into effect this week itself.
As per the initial rule set by the Taliban, men and women had different days fixed to visit the park and gyms. And the women even had to adhere to the strict dress code that was particularly based on Islamic laws. However, the spokesperson said that even after trying to continue with these rules, the women did not obey them. This was presented as the justification for why the women have now been restricted entry inside gyms.

As per the news, the Taliban regime will also start monitoring whether or not the new rule is being followed by the women. As per, Reuters the owner of an amusement park has shown his concerns over the negative impact that this restriction will have on the business. Well, clearly because if women are not allowed, then kids will also not visit the parks alone.

A government is formed to fulfill and care for the basic needs of its citizens. Make certain that all of their citizens, regardless of gender or caste, are treated equally and without bias. However, these are clearly not the motivations of the Taliban. Now they are straightaway justifying their inhumane treatment of women by blaming them for it. Women in Afghanistan face insurmountable restrictions, and even when they protest, no one knows exactly how they are oppressed. We can only read about this oppression in the news, but the reality on the ground may be even worse.
