Taliban Drags A 21-Year-Old Woman Out of Car And Shoots Her For Not Wearing Veil

The entire world knows about the terror of the Taliban in Afghanistan. Taliban – the Islamist military organization has turned Afghanistan into a war-torn country. From being forced to follow the rules to wearing the clothes that the Taliban decides – the people of the country are scared and suppressed by the organization. Especially girls and women of Afghanistan. Like, remember the time when the Taliban asked for a list of girls and divorced women so that they could get them married off to their soldiers? This recent case is more invading and violent.

Recently, a 21-year-old woman, Nazaneen, was dragged out of her car and shot to death by the Taliban terrorists. And according to Afghanistan Times, the reason behind this was because the woman was not wearing a veil.

The Taliban offensive has increased in Afghanistan in the last few weeks. And this incident is just an example of the brutality and hold they have in the region – especially now when foreign troops are withdrawing. This horrifying, violent incident took place when the 21-year-old was traveling to Balkh district center and came and dragged her out of the car.

When speaking to Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, he openly denied that such an incident had taken place. In the rule of the Taliban, women are supposed to cover their bodies and faces with burqas and are barred from attending schools or working. They are also not allowed to leave the house without the company of a male relative.

In fact, during the their rule, those women who were accused of committing adultery were stoned to death in stadiums. The agenda of the “outfit” is to limit the freedom given to Afghanistan women as it promotes “indecency” and “immorality.” According to the Taliban, allowing women to attend schools or go to work is against Islamic and or Afghan values.

The Taliban offenses have majorly been against women and their suppression. It is true what I read – that when a country is war-torn, it is always the women who face double oppression. And if this is not the perfect example to prove that statement correct, I honestly don’t know what is. I really hope that countries from around the world take steps to prevent further oppression and suppression of Afghanistan women by the Taliban.
