Spanx CEO Sara Blakely Gives Each Of Her Employee ₹7.5 Lakh And Two First-Class Flight Tickets!
Life becomes a bit easier when you have an understanding and caring boss, Yep, we’re talking about bosses today. Anyone who has ever worked knows the first statement to be true. Having a good boss is beneficial for both, employees and the boss himself/herself. Because when a boss is good and takes care of his/her employees that’s when the employees are going to go the extra mile for the company and ensure that it becomes successful. One example of a good boss is Sara Blakely, the owner of the American shapewear brand, Spanx. How do we say that? Well, she recently gave each of her employees $10,000 (Rs. 7.5 lakhs) and two first-class tickets as celebratory presents. I wonder, is it too late to join Spanx?
Sara Blakely’s company Spanx was recently valued at $1.2 billion after an investment firm bought a stake in the company. And to celebrate it, Sarah threw a party where she announced the celebratory presents for each employee.

At the party she threw, Sara Blakely announced that each employee of Spanx would get $10,000 (Rs. 7.5 lakhs) and two first-class tickets to anywhere in the world. As per reports, this reward is a huge one as Spanx has more than 500 employees and the reward isn’t just limited to a few departments but is for all of the staff. Okay, I am high-key jealous!
Sara took to Instagram to share the announcement video of the rewards with her followers. Needless to say, the video went viral and has over 6.6 lakh views. Blakely wrote in her caption, “It was an emotional announcement filled with happy tears acknowledging how far we’ve come. And then the tears really started to flow when I surprised everybody with 2 first-class @delta plane tickets to anywhere in the world and $10,000 cash to spend on the trip. I really want every employee to celebrate this moment in their own way and create a memory that will last them a lifetime! Cheers to 21 years of magic and many more to come.”

It would be no surprise if the employees of Spanx gave Sara Blakely the title of the best boss ever.
Having such a good boss is a boon. And I don’t say it just because of the rewards (even though they are a dream come true) but I say this because very few bosses take interest in their employees’ personal life and don’t tend to include them in the company’s success. And to me, it makes no sense since employees are the foundation of a good company. Happy employees = successful company!
