Sanjay Raut Defends Himself On Twitter Against FIR For Using Derogatory Language Against BJP Women

Comments against each other and personal attacks are not uncommon within politics and between political parties. Moreover, it is common for politicians (especially men) to feel threatened by women and then make random defamatory comments against them. Most of them feel entitled to casually throw around sexist remarks that are harmful to women. This is the case with Shiv Sena member Sanjay Raut who used a derogatory cuss word against women and is now attempting to defend it on Twitter.

Sanjay Raut is pretty commonly known for getting into controversies with women and offending them. His most recent one was with BJP’s National General Secretary, Deepti Rawat Bhardwaj who complained against Raut according to sources. The police took action over the FIR after taking legal counsel post Deepti Rawat Bhardwaj’s complaint. Sanjay Raut appeared on a  Marathi news channel and made belittling comments towards BJP women and the FIR was filed by Deepti Rawat Bhardwaj. He defended his words in two tweets which he posted to his Twitter back-to-back.

Sanjay Raut also faced backlash last year after he attacked and abused Kangana Ranaut for comparing Mumbai to Kashmir. He had called Kangana a “haramkhor ladki” in an interview and people demanded an apology out of him for the same, according to reports. He has also been accused and stalking and harassing women.

NCP leader Nawab Malik also came forward and questioned when there would be a complaint against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath as there is one for Sanjay Raur considering he used similar language as Raut.

It is sad that this kinda occurrence is so common that it does not even surprise me anymore. Random comments against women that usually are not made against men. Moreover, cases of harassment that is prevalent among a lot of politicians. I wonder that if this is the state of the politicians within our country then what can be expected out of the general public.
