Sachin Tendulkar’s Daughter Sara Schooled A Troll Who Told Her She Only Spends Here Father’s Money

Sachin Tendulkar’s Daughter Sara Schooled A Troll Who Told Her She Only Spends Here Father’s Money

Explain something to me. Why is it that every time a star kid posts something on social media, no matter how trivial, they are incessantly trolled? From Ananya Pandey being trolled for her Instagram captions to Aaliyah Kashyap being trolled for posting lingerie photographs, people are constantly shaming them for being “privileged”. Do these trolls not have jobs? It’s a serious question. They really don’t deserve an internet connection. Recently, Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara Tendulkar, was mocked by a woman on Instagram for *drumroll please* drinking coffee. Turns out, Sara isn’t the sort of person to take this sitting down. In a sassy way, she shut the troll down and we are here for it!

On 16 April, Sara Tendulkar posted an Instagram story of herself enjoying a cup of BlueTokai coffee. The text on the picture read, “@Bluetokaicoffee saves lives”. I fail to see how this post reeks of privilege. Don’t we all post pictures of our favourite foods or beverages? Why isn’t Sara allowed to do the same without having to give explanations? Anyway, a woman who saw Sara’s story, replied to her saying she is just wasting her father’s money on such fancy things. Isn’t this so ridiculous?

Instead of ignoring this message, as most celebrities would do, Sara called the woman out by screenshotting the message and posting it on her social media. She tagged the woman and wrote, “Ummm…Any money spent on caffeine is money well spent, not wasted LOL (whoever’s it may be).”

That was a great way to shut this troll down and school her. Interestingly though, in the screenshot that Sara posted, we can also see that this woman had earlier mocked her brother Arjun Tendulkar for getting picked by the Mumbai Indians franchise IPL team at a mere amount of Rs 20 lakhs. You see, Sara had posted a picture of her brother who was wearing his team’s jersey. This woman replied to her story saying, “Least priced money”.

On Instagram, Sara enjoys a following of 1.2 million. So it stands to reason that some from there might be trolls and haters. But giving someone, star kid or not, flak for merely drinking coffee is just pathetic. Can we normalize not trolling these star kids?
