Pune Woman Strangles Her Mother-In-Law With A Blouse And Dumped The Body With The Help Of Her Husband
Every time I try to explain to anyone what it means to be a feminist, they always argue that it’s not always the men who are in the wrong. And I do agree with that because I am not a misandrist. In fact, we believe that feminism is more about gender equality than anything else. This means that when a woman does something disgraceful, we call her out in the same way we would a man. Let’s take this woman, for instance, who murdered her mother-in-law over a domestic dispute and tried to dump her body with the help of her husband. This is disturbing and shameful.
22-year-old Pooja Milind Shinde allegedly strangled her mother-in-law, Baby Gautam Shinde, with a blouse following a domestic dispute. On Monday, police officials said that after murdering her mother-in-law, Pooja tried to dispose of her body in a gunny sack with the help of her husband, Milind Gautum Shinde. This brutal murder occurred on May 21 in Daulat society in Telco Colony of Talegaon Dabhade area, Pune. However, it came to light only three days later when their neighbours began complaining about a foul smell and got suspicious when they saw the couple trying to get rid of the sack.
According to reports, Pooja, Milind, Baby and Milind’s younger brother Amit lived under the same roof. On 21 May, at around 10 am, when it was just Pooja and her mother-in-law all by themselves at home, they got into a fight. Following the fight, in a fit of rage, Pooja strangled her mother-in-law with a blouse. She then asked her husband to dump the body on the terrace of their building. The body was wrapped in a gunny sack and left on the terrace.

Their entire plan started unfolding when people began questioning the couple about the whereabouts of the mother-in-law. The couple panicked and shifted the body to a nearby garden. That’s when the neighbours got suspicious. The police have CCTV footage of the couple dragging the gunny sack to a nearby garden. A police officer involved in the investigation said, “We found the CCTV of them dragging the gunny bag from the terrace to the nearby garden. The husband was not involved in the murder, but he was clearly involved in the destruction of evidence. We are investigating what led to the murder, but it seems like a domestic fight turned violent.”
On Monday, a local court remanded Pooja and her husband to four days in police custody. They have been charged with the relevant sections of the IPC. Hopefully, Pooja as well as her husband will be adequately punished for their brutal crime.
