Police Officer Booked For Raping Cousin, Forcing Her To Undergo Abortion Multiple Times. How Are Women Supposed To Trust Anyone?

You know, I used to believe that powerful people are here to help those who can’t help themselves and it is their responsibility. But seems like a lot of people, especially men, are using their position to exploit the weak and it is not right at all. Recently, a police officer got booked for allegedly raping his own cousin for five years and forcing her to adopt the foetus multiple times. It is so sad to know that women can’t even trust those who are supposed to protect them.

A police officer from Karnataka allegedly raped his cousin for five years, he also forced her to undergo multiple abortions. The survivor has filed a complaint against the accused officer identified as GB Umesh. The 25-year-old woman approached the police and mentioned that her family had a land dispute in the year 2017 and the accused had helped them to resolve it.

In 2017, the police officer asked the woman to meet him at the place of his posting. But when she reached the place, he allegedly raped her and threatened her not to reveal the ordeal to anyone. She further mentioned that the accused officer started coming to her house and workplace to harass her.

The accused police officer has been booked under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at a Women’s Police Station.
