Pakistani Student Thanks Narendra Modi And Indian Embassy For Rescuing Her From War-Struck Ukraine

Now, there are a lot of things that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has done in the past and still does that I don’t agree with. Having said that, I’ll give credit where it’s due – his government has and is taking a great deal of steps and efforts to ensure that the Indian students that are stuck in Ukraine amidst the war, get back home safely. But what I’m really happy to hear about is that during the time of the crisis, he did not hold grudges against our neighbouring country, Pakistan, and also evacuated a Pakistani student. Yep, a Pakistani student in a video message thanked the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and the Indian embassy in Kyiv for evacuating her from the war-struck country.

A Pakistani student named Asma Shafique was rescued by the Indian authorities and was sent on her way to Western Ukraine where the young woman will be evacuated out of the country. In a video message, the young student expressed her gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian embassy in Kyiv.

The Pakistani student in the video said, “I am really thankful to the Indian Embassy of Kyiv and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for evacuating me. Thank you so much for support.” In fact, as per reports, she is not the only Pakistani student that the Indian embassy has rescued from Ukraine. Many Nepali and Pakistani students who were not helped properly by their own embassies have been rescued and evacuated by the Indian embassy.

And this is exactly what makes me so proud of this country. Yes, there are a lot of things that need changing and a lot of things have changed but the one thing that has thus far remained constant is our humanity – especially in times of crisis.
