As soon as the war started, everyone’s attention went to Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and first lady Olena Zelenska. Who Is Olena Zelenska?
Olena Zelenska is a screenwriter and the wife of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky. After becoming the first lady of Ukraine, she uses her platform to talk about the various issues and causes, especially gender equality and childhood nutrition. However, when she first heard that her husband is joining politics, she totally opposed the idea because it was a difficult move and a completely different career path for him.

Early Life
Olena was born on February 5, 1978, in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. She studied architecture but later chose a different profession.

Career
Zelenska works as a screenwriter in the production company Studio Quarter 95 in Ukraine. She wrote the comedy titled Servant of the People, President Zelensky who is a former actor and comedian, played the role of a popular elected President in the show. Volodymyr Zelensky became Ukraine’s President in 2018 with more than a 73 per cent vote. In the same year, Olena graced the cover of Ukraine’s edition of Vogue.

The couple first met at the Kryvyi Rih National University. After dating for eight years, Olena and Volodymyr tied the knot in the year 2003. In July 2004, the couple welcomed their daughter and named her Oleksandra. Their son Kyrylo was born in January 2013.
