Kerala Girl Refuses To Leave Ukraine Without Her Pet Dog, Seeks Travel Permit From Indian Authorities
Dogs are the animals I feel most compassionate about. They are there for you when the whole world turns against you. I would do anything to protect my pet dog. So, I completely understand this girl from Kerala who refused to leave her pet dog, a Siberian husky, behind in Ukraine. The girl even went as far as seeking permission from the Indian authorities to let her dog travel with her.
Arya Aldrin, a young medical student from Idukki district, Kerala is one of the many Indian students who are stuck in Ukraine amidst the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. The medical student is an extremely compassionate dog lover and hence, refused to travel back to India without her Siberian husky named Zaira.

Arya Aldrin, residing in Vinnytsia, is currently waiting to hear from the Indian authorities from whom she sought permission to let Zaira accompany her on the evacuation flight. As per reports, ever since Russia announced the special military operation against Ukraine, the medical student has been running around to get the paperwork sorted to take Zaira back to India.

The young girl from Kerala also told her parents that she will not leave Ukraine without her husky. Praising Arya in a Facebook post, V Sivankutty, the Education Minister of Kerala, wrote in Malayalam, “Without abandoning her pet dog, Arya is on her way to India from a war-torn country. It is born out of love and the world benefits from such love.”
Well, the good news is that both – the girl and the dog – are now at the airport and are doing well. Hard work does pay off, especially when it is done out of love. At the risk of sounding cliché, love wins!
