But there are also times when people belonging to various communities stand by and help each other in times of need and such instances truly prove the phrase ‘unity in diversity’. One such case heartwarming case took place in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. A Muslim family had offered their house to hold the marriage ceremony of a Hindu girl and isn’t this just the sweetest gesture?
Muslim Family Offers House To Hold Hindu Girl’s Marriage
According to a report by Indian Express, the said Muslim family did not hesitate to offer their house to organise the marriage function of a Hindu girl who was their neighbour. The girl’s father had passed away in the first Covid wave. The family did not just give space to hold the festivities but also gladly participated in the same.
The girl, Pooja’s, wedding to fixed to take place on April 22, and her family requested help from their Muslim neighbours. Pooja’s uncle, Rajesh Chaurasia, who lives in the Alwal locality of the district, said that they were unable to book a marriage hall due to insufficient finances and their own house was too small to conduct the wedding. So, when he reached out to his neighbour, Parvez, he did not hesitate one beat and offered the courtyard of his house to organise the wedding.

Parvez’s family also helped in setting up the mandap in their courtyard whereas Rajesh went to look after making other arrangements. Rajesh Chaurasia also said that Parvez gifted a gold chain to the groom and treated Pooja as his own daughter. Parvez’s wife Nadira was also quoted saying that what is better than organising the marriage of a daughter during the holy month of Ramzan. How sweet is this!
