A Minor Girl In Bengal Dies, Family Alleges She Was Gangraped By Trinamool Leader’s Son At A Birthday Party
Every other day we hear news of women getting sexually abused, tortured, and threatened, and this today is no different. The news coming out of West Bengal speaks about a minor teenage girl that died and her family alleged that she was gangraped at a birthday party by the son of a Trinamool Congress panchayat member. The police have arrested the son for further investigation. It really is sad to know that no matter the age of the place you are at, women’s safety can never be guaranteed.
On Saturday, the parents of the minor girl, who was a Class 9 student, filed a complaint with the West Bengal police alleging that their daughter was gangraped at a birthday party and after she returned home she became severely unwell and died. They alleged that the accused is none other than a Trinamool Congress panchayat member’s son.

As per the complaint, On Monday afternoon, the minor went to the Trinamool leader’s son‘s house in Naida district, West Bengal, to attend his birthday party. But when she returned home the girl was heavily bleeding and had severe abdominal pain, soon after the girl died.
Speaking to the media, the parents of the minor girl said, “Our daughter was bleeding profusely and had severe abdominal pain after she came back from the party at the residence of the local TMC leader’s son, and before we could take her to hospital, she died. “From the sequence of events and after talking to the people present at the party, we are sure she was gangraped by the accused and his friends.”

The mother of the minor girl also alleged that even before a death certificate was issued, a group of people forcibly took the body of the girl who was allegedly gangraped for cremation. On Sunday, the police arrested the allegedly accused son of a Trinamool Congress panchayat member.
As per reports, Shashi Panja, senior TMC leader and West Bengal’s Minister of Women and Child Development said that there is zero-tolerance for abuse of minors and women. She added, “There should not be any politics over the incident. Police will do everything possible to investigate and take further action.”
One should really applaud these political parties, after all, they are the only ones who can make such a gruesome matter like gangrape political and use it as rajneeti. When did they and we lose our humanity?
