Minister Hardeep Singh Puri Praises Women Working On Oil Rigs, Calls Them Superwomen
Women these days are excelling in every field and making a mark for themselves. Unlike before, they don’t seem to shy away from stereotypically masculine roles and want to prove their worth in every aspect. Luckily we have men in power like Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri who praised the women who have worked on the oil rigs for 60-70 days.
Minister Hardeep Singh Puri posted an Instagram carousel post talking about the women working on our country’s oil and gas installations. Mr Puri referred to them as “Super Women” and lauded them for their dedication and hard work. He said that these women stayed on the offshore platforms for 60-70 days even during the pandemic! Whoa!

Mr Puri captioned the Instagram post saying, “The Super Women who ‘woman’ our oil and gas installations! They didn’t back down from staying 60-70 days at a stretch on offshore platforms during the pandemic. They are tough, committed, resilient and equal partners in India’s progress. You make us proud. Take a bow!” I feel proud of them too after reading this!
He also posted this praise for the women on Twitter and his Twitter followers were very touched by the minister’s encouragement and agreed with him empowering women. YES!!!! Just what I love to see!

It is so rare for men in power to actually appreciate women and give them credit that Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s post actually gave me some hope from our politicians. Moreover, seeing these women breaking stereotypes and making a mark for themselves in a male-dominated arena inspires me to push myself to do more as well and I hope it does the same for you!
