Madhya Pradesh Minister Says Hanging Rapists Publicly Might Deter Them From Touching Women, Urges The CM To Do So
If you’ve read the news recently, you’d know that almost every other day cases of rape are making the headlines. And even after many steps taken by the government to curb such incidents, it has not been very helpful. In fact, people are raging about these cases. In fact, one of the people that recently raged was Madhya Pradesh minister Usha Thakur. For those unversed, a four-year-old girl was allegedly raped in the Khandwa district before she was abandoned in a sugarcane field. Following that, Madhya Pradesh minister Usha Thakur called for the public hanging of rapists.
Earlier this week, a four-year-old girl was raped in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, and then was left alone in a sugarcane field. The state minister Usha Thakur on Thursday said that she will urge CM to hang rapists in public places.

Tourism and Culture Minister Usha Thakur said that rapists should be hanged in public places. She added that such stern punishments will dissuade others from committing such crimes and nobody will dare to indulge in such crimes after they see the punishments.

As per reports, Usha Thakur said, “The Madhya Pradesh government is dealing with such savage elements sternly and with alertness. It is the first state in the country that has made a provision for death penalty to rapists. So far, 72 such criminals have been awarded capital punishment”.
Usha Thakur further added that she will request the Chief Minister to give punishments to these rapists punishments in public places. She said that when the accused who raped the four-year-old in Khandwa will be hanged in a public place only then will it dissuade other criminals from committing such heinous crimes.
