Mahua Moitra Raises Valid Questions About The Early Release Of Bilkis Bano Rapists. We Need Answers
You know, we are not able to figure out how some people don’t understand others’ pain. A recent example of it was the early release of 10 rapists of Bilkis Bano. 11 rapists from the Bilkis Bano gangrape case were granted bail under the pretext of having ‘good behaviour’ which does not make any sense, TBH. Speaking of the brutal case, Mahua Moitra recently raised valid questions about the early release of Bilkis Bano rapists. And we are hoping that we will get the answers.
After the early release of 11 convicts, people were demanding answers on how the criminals were released and welcomed back into society after committing such a heinous crime. And now, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, who is one of the petitioners in the Supreme Court against the release of the 11 rapists of Bilkis Bano, raised three valid questions on this matter.
On Monday, the Gujarat government informed the Supreme Court that the 11 convicts completed their 14 years in prison. Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra mentioned that each of them got ‘ridiculously high’ parole of 4 years making their jail term of only 10 years.

After the Gujarat government informed the Supreme Court of how the decision was taken, Mahua Moitra raised three questions about the process. She asked why Gujurat and the Centre bypass the CBI and the courts’ decline. Why did the Centre give bulk remission clearance to all the culprits instead of going through case by case? Why did all the 11 convicts get ‘ridiculously high’ parole of 4 years each?
She also pointed out that each of them served an average of only 10 years in jail.
