Attack By Terrorists Killed Kashmiri Television Artist Amreen Bhat, Injured Her 10-Year-Old Nephew
In a very terrifying incident in Jammu and Kashmir, a 35-year-old Kashmiri television artist, Amreen Bhat, was shot dead. The shooting was carried out by three terrorists, at 1955 hours on Wednesday outside Amreen Bhat’s house. The details of this sad incident were given out by the Jammu Kasmir police on Twitter. A 10-year-old nephew was also injured in the attack by the terrorists. The incident occurred in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
At around 1955 hrs , terrorists fired upon one lady Amreen Bhat D/o Khazir Mohd Bhat R/o Hushroo Chadoora at her home. She was shifted to hospital in injured condition where doctors declared her dead. Her 10 year old nephew who was also at home recieved bullet injury on his arm.

The Jammu Kashmir police tweets said that Amreen Bhat who was the daughter of Khazir Mohd Bhat and a resident of Hushroo Chadoora was fired upon by the terrorists at around 1755 hrs. The incident happened while she was home. The tweet further informs that she was taken to the hospital in an injured condition where the doctors declared her dead. It also reveals that Amreen’s 10-year-old nephew was also a victim of the attack and received a bullet injury on his arm.
The police further revealed that the terrorists belonged to the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), as per reports. The police also informed that the area has been barricaded, a Fir has been registered and an investigation is ongoing. According to local reports, Amreen Bhat was a singer and TV personality and was a very active user of social media. She regularly posted her videos on it.
The incident was deeply condemned by various ministers on Twitter. The former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah tweeted that he is deeply shocked by the murderous attack on Amreen Bhat. He further confirmed Amreen’s death and also mentioned that her nephew was injured. Omar Abdullah asserted that attacks on innocent women and children cannot be justified. He ended the tweet with a prayer for Amreen. Omar Abdullah’s party also tweeted and condemned the attack calling it “barbaric”.

A similar incident happened in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday when Terrorists killed policeman Saifullah Qadri in the Soura (Anchar) area of Jammu and Kashmir, wounding his nine-year-old daughter.
