The Karnataka Hijab Row Update

The protests in the Karnataka hijab row have intensified as the case has reached the Supreme Court. After the High Court directed the students to not insist on wearing any religious clothing to educational institutes, that may ‘instigate people’ till the matter is resolved, an appeal has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the order. The petition has been filed by a student and sought a stay on the High Court order as well as the ongoing proceeding that is taking place before the three-judge bench. The plea further adds that the High Court order is in violation of the fundamental right of Muslim women as it prevents them from wearing hijab.
