A Female Teacher Burnt Alive In Jaipur, But People Chose To Record A Video Instead Of Saving Her. The Apathy Is Sickening!
One of the most horrifying incidents of inhumane action has surfaced in the state of Rajasthan, that too in the capital city of Jaipur. The beauty of the place and culture has been overshadowed by a crime that will never be far beyond anyone’s imagination. A woman was burned alive in front of a crowd and not even a single person stepped up to save her life. This incident is just not about the crime by the accused but also highlights the real picture of our society when the public chose to record the atrocious incident over helping her.
As per the reports, the incident happened on August 10, and sadly after 7 days of fighting the severe burns, the woman succumbed to the injuries. She was a teacher and was attacked by the accused on her way to school accompanied by her son. The 32-year-old woman had to go through this only because she had asked the accused for the money she loaned him. In broad daylight, in the presence of a crowd, the woman was burned using petrol, and nobody came up for help. She had 70% burns and was admitted to a Government hospital. Going by the reports, she also dialed 100 but the police did not make it on time. After seven days of this shameful incident, the woman took her last breath on August 17. Till now, the Rajasthan police have not been able to make any arrests in the case. The woman had also filed a complaint of harassment and torture on May 7 against the culprits, however, no action was taken even after that. The husband has also alleged that the police are in support of the criminals and therefore there is no progress to finding the culprits who did this to his wife.

This incident raises so many questions about humanity and justice. The criminals did not have a little fear in them before burning the woman alive. Have the police turned a blind eye on them and what is taking so long to make any arrests in the case? The most dangerous trend of recording anything sensational on phone and making it viral has made people forget the basic knowledge of humanity and compassion. Maybe if somebody from the crowd had the right conscience of helping her, she might have been alive!
