However, the United Nations celebrated International Women’s Day officially on March 8, 1975, for the first time. After that, it became an official day to celebrate and appreciate women’s achievement towards gender equality.

As per UNESCO, International Women’s Day is all about the progress made by women towards gender equality and women empowerment over the years. International Women’s Day will always be a special day to appreciate all the accomplishments made by women but we should aim to achieve greater things in the future as well.
