Indian Women’s Cricket Team Gushing Over Pakistan Captain Bismah Maroof’s Baby Girl Is Your Dose Of Wholesome For Today
For all women who love (or don’t) sports, I’m sure you know that the Women’s ODI World Cup Campaign is already here and the Indian women’s cricket team has won the match against Pakistan women’s cricket team. But do you know what was the highlight of the match? It was the picture ICC shared on its official account where you can clearly see that the Indian women cricketers are celebrating their win with Pakistan women’s cricket team’s captain Bismah Maroof and her 7-month-old daughter. Yep, and as you would have guessed, the pic and video from the celebration went viral and people on the internet are loving this show of unity. I mean, this is what we mean by sportsman spirit, don’t we?
ICC took to social media to post a picture of Bismah Maroof, captain of Pakistan’s women’s team, carrying her 7-month-old daughter Fatima in her arms as she was surrounded by the Indian women’s cricket team who were celebrating their success with the adorable baby girl.

Bismah Maroof, who was on maternity leave last April, is making her comeback in international cricket with this World Cup. As per reports, it was back in August last year, when Bismah Maroof gave birth to Fatima, and ever since then, the cricketer has received full support from PCB. In fact, the Pakistan Cricket Board also handed Bismah her captaincy back, even though this was her first tournament in 2 years.

What has me overwhelmed is the fact that the same fans (some or most of them) who get aggressive when there is an India v/s Pakistan match, are the ones celebrating, applauding, and cheering the sportsman spirit that the members of both teams have shown. And if this isn’t the true spirit of the game, then I really would ask you to rethink what is.
