UP Assembly Elections 2022: BJP’s Hema Malini Takes A Dig At Samajwadi Party, Says “Nothing Can Come In Front Of A Bulldozer”

Amid the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has crossed the majority mark of 202 Assembly constituencies in the state. The Yogi Adityanath led government is all set to return to power in the state. Speaking about the same, BJP MP from Mathura and actor-turned-politician Hema Malini told the media that the party already knew that they would form the government in the state as they have worked for ‘every developmental aspect’. She went on to add that the public trusts them. The politician also took the opportunity to take a dig at the opposition Samajwadi Party.

Speaking to the media, as quoted by NDTV, BJP MP Hema Malini said, “Nothing can come in front of a bulldozer, as it can finish everything within a minute, be it cycle or anything else.” the reference of ‘bulldozer’ was used by the actor-turned-politician with reference to the action taken by the Yogi Adityanath led government to vacate the illegally occupied properties using a bulldozer and the Samajwadi Party uses a cycle symbol in their party logo. According to the official trend, BJP is leading in UP in 255 constituencies while Samajwadi Party is ahead in 112 assembly seats.

In a conversation with CNN-News18, BJP MP Hema Malini shared that while it was expected that Yogi Adityanath would return to power in the state, one should not be overconfident and that is what she was holding herself back. But now that everything is out in the open, the actor-turned-politician shared that she is happy and thankful to god. She went on to point out that BJP won as the party has worked to provide women with safety in the state and that has been ‘one of the most significant factors’. She added that the women did not feel safe in Uttar Pradesh earlier and there were ‘all kinds of atrocities happening against women’ but now it has all come to an end.

Hema Malini further added that there is no corruption in the state and the law and order are in control and all of that contributed to this win. “During the Covid-19 pandemic when the entire country was in mess, Yogiji controlled everything so well in UP,” Hema Malini told News18.
