Hijab Row: Haryana Minister Says Men Should Strengthen Minds And Free Women From Hijab. Wait, Who Are Men To ‘Free’ Us?
As an adult, I still have no idea how this world works because it is so biased towards people who don’t identify themselves as male (it is very problematic but sadly, we can’t do anything about it). And if you want to believe it, then you should take a look at the Karnataka hijab row. Recently, the Supreme Court gave a very split judgment on the case with one for it and one against it. Many people are raising questions over this split decision, Haryana Minister Anil Vij said that men should strengthen their minds and free women from the hijab. Erm, okay then.
Before the Supreme Court delivered a split verdict on a batch of pleas in which students challenged the Karnataka High Court judgement refusing to lift the ban on hijab in educational institutions of the state, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij shared a tweet on his account. In the tweet, the Minister mentioned that the men who could not control their excitement upon seeing women forced them to wear hijabs.

He further wrote that such men need to strengthen their minds as women are facing punishment and they have to cover themselves from head to toe. “This is a grave injustice”, he mentioned in a tweet that he wrote in the Hindi language.
In the same tweet, the Haryana Home Minister said that men should free women from hijab.
