Ghaziabad Gang Rape Case: UP Police Says, 36 YO Alleged Victim Fabricated Story. Real Rape Victims Face The Actual Consequences!
A few days back, the Ghaziabad rape case that made headlines in the country came as a complete shock. The details of the crime reminded us of the brutal and horrifying Nirbhaya case. Here, the Ghaziabad victim was allegedly kidnapped by 5 men and gang-raped for two days. The Delhi Commission of Women chief, Swati Maliwal in her tweet also mentioned other horrific details on the crime, as per which the women suffered severe injuries. However, the recent update on this case by the Uttar Pradesh police paints a completely different picture of the whole crime, according to which this gang rape case was a made-up story by the victim. The police have also given some details from their investigation that made them come to this conclusion.
After the FIR was registered on the case, the UP police took the 4 accused into custody. Going by the earlier details on the crime, it was allegedly committed because of a property dispute with the woman, however, as per the recent update, the police have said that it was all a fabricated story by the woman. The investigation in the case revealed that the 36-year-old alleged victim was at her friend’s place for the two days that she had claimed to be kidnapped by the men. Also, the reports by the hospital where the woman was treated also claim that there were no internal injuries she suffered. Furthermore, the police also informed that the mobile phone of the victim found at the crime scene was switched off by the victim’s friend at the same spot. This was found after tracking the mobile signal.
The UP police also claimed that the woman had refused medical treatments at two hospitals she was taken to. Currently, three of the linked to the alleged victim have been arrested by the police. As per the news, the UP police chief has alleged that one of the associates also used the power of money to publicise the gang rape news, and there is substantial evidence of the same.

This is a disturbing follow-up to the rape case. We hope that this case is thoroughly clarified as soon as possible. Also, such cases will now make people bash actual victims of rape cases, in fact, women in general. It will allow them generalise women making the false case and using rape laws against men just for the sake of revenge, which is scary.
