This Girl Says That Her Father Named Her After The Woman He Was Having An Affair With

I’ve always known that I want to have children. In fact, as corny as it sounds, I already have their names picked out. I thought long and hard about what names mean the most to me and I decided that’s what I want my children to be called. My parents didn’t do that for me. When the time came to christen me, they made a spur of the moment choice. It’s probably why I’ve never really liked my name. But hey, at least it means something. I know of people who give their children the most random names. Celebrities, for instance. Or this man from the USA who named his daughter after the woman he was having an extra-marital affair with. His reasons were cruel but ingenious.

A woman, Kristina, from Kentucky, USA, shared the story of how she got her name on TikTok. She explained that her parents had made a pact before she was born. If they had a boy, the mother would pick the name and but if they had a girl, this responsibility would fall on the father. Considering, Kristina turned out to be a girl, her father christened her. He had clearly put a lot of thought into her name.

Kristina shared that her mother had a C-section because of this, she was under the influence of medications after giving birth. Her father took this opportunity to quickly go ahead and fill out all the paperwork for his daughter. When Kristina’s mother regained consciousness and learned her daughter’s name, she didn’t hate it. Little did she know that this name would change all their lives, forever.

In the video, Kristina said, “When my mum came to I guess she didn’t really hate the name so she just kind of went with it and you know everything was fine for a few months until my mum found out that my dad was cheating on her… and guess what the woman’s name was. Kristina. So if he messed up and called her the wrong name, he could say he was talking about me.”

How can you name your daughter after someone you are cheating on your wife with? It’s messed up that this poor girl has to live with this name all her life. But for all those of us who aren’t her, this is probably the funniest thing I have read all week. I feel so horrible for laughing but this is the kind of story you don’t hear every day.
