PV Sindhu is considered one of the most successful players in the country. She has been able to close various tournaments with medals. She has many feathers in her hat. Along with bringing the first and only Indian to become the badminton world champion, she is also, the second individual athlete from India who has been able to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games.
The recent addition to her already extremely feather-laden hat, was her first-ever Commonwealth Games Gold Medal, in Badminton singles. The 27-Year-old Champion made this possible by successfully defeating Canada’s Michelle Li in the Commonwealth Games 2022 Badminton Finals in Birmingham. This was made possible by her thorough attention and hard work throughout all rounds. It was an absolute pleasure to watch her play.
This was her first gold medal at the CWG with a hard-to-beat score of 21-15 and 21-13 but, it in no way, was her overall first medal at the Commonwealth Games. PV Sindhu’s Achievements At The Commonwealth Games
Did you know that this amazing gold achievement is in fact, PV Sindhu’s third singles medal at the Commonwealth Games? She has been performing like a champion for ages now. She participated in her first Commonwealth games back when she was 19-Years-Old i.e. in 2014 and she has had a beautiful winning streak since then.
She was able to bag her first Commonwealth Games medal back in 2014’s Glasgow Games, itself. She was literally 19-Years-Old when she achieved this great honor by winning a fabulous bronze medal. She also won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018 which took place on the Gold Coast.

She has consecutively proven her skills and has earned her place in the Indian Sports Hall Of Fame.
