BJP MP Roopa Ganguly Brings Notice Of The Birbhum Incident In Rajya Sabha During Zero Hour

I know it can be hard to keep a track of everything that’s going on in the country but well, don’t worry, I promise to help you out as much as possible. For instance, today, I’m going to get you well-versed with the ongoing Birbhum violence case. It all began when eight people, including two children, were burned to death in the Birbhum village just hours after the Bhadu Sheikh, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) panchayat leader was murdered. AS per the autopsy reports, all eight people were brutally beaten before they were charred. Following this, the Calcutta High Court ordered the CBI to immediately speed up the investigation of this case and even asked for a status report from the central probe agency. And now, the BJP MP Roopa Ganguly moved zero hour notice in Rajya over the Birbhum violent incident.

On Wednesday, the Calcutta High Court took cognizance of the Birbhum incident after it was discovered that a mob was allegedly behind burning down houses after the murder of Bhadu Sheikh, TMC leader, took place. And it is today, March 25, 2022, that the court will pronounce the order.

As per reports, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was also filed for the Birbhum arson case. The PIL demanded an inquiry by a central agency – and that is where the CBI comes in. In fact, even a Special Investigation Team aka SIT was formed by the state government to instigate the case.

Needless to say, the government and the court are doing everything in their power to find the culprits responsible for the death of eight people. It is scary to think that we live in a time where one side there is a war going on and on the other side there are gruesome acts of violence being done in our own country.
