80 Men In Andhra Pradesh Have Been Arrested For Raping A Minor Girl Repeatedly For 8 Months. What Is Happening?
Every day you wake up and read about dome or the other violent crimes being committed against women – rape, domestic abuse, sexual harassment, etc. Just hearing about such cases makes me realise how far behind we’ve left our morals, values, and humanity. And today is no different. In a recent, disturbing incident, a minor girl was pushed into prostitution and raped by more than 80 men over a span of eight months. I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma the poor child suffered in those eight months.
A 13-year-old minor girl from the Guntur district was forced into prostitution by the woman, Swarna Kumari, who had adopted her after the girl lost her mother to Covid-19 in 2021. Swarna Kumari had befriended the girl in the hospital where the mother of the minor was undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in June 2021.

Later, when the mother of the minor girl died, Swarna Kumari then kidnapped her and later forced her into prostitution. The father had even lodged a missing complaint with the Andhra Pradesh police in August 2021.

K Supraja, Additional Superintendent of Police, revealed that the minor girl was purchased by numerous gangs who then took her to different districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana where she was forced into prostitution. The girl was sent to various brothels in those two states.
The reports suggest that the police made their first arrest in January and ever since then they deepened their investigation due to which in the past few days over 80 people that were connected with the rape of the minor girl was arrested.
It was two days ago when the police rescued the minor girl and made several arrests after the girl narrated the entire ordeal to them. The arrests included a BTech student, kingpins of a prostitution racket, pimps, and many customers. In fact, as many as 35 prostitution organisers were arrested by the Andhra Pradesh police.
Police are still hunting many of the accused who were involved in the rape of the minor girl. Additional Superintendent of Police, K Supraja said, “One of the accused in this case is in London.” He added that they will not rest until all of the accused are arrested.
