Akanksha Vyavahare Scripts History As She Sets New National Record In 40 Kg Weightlifting Category At Khelo India Tournament. Bravo, Woman!
It’s wonderful how proud and happy we feel whenever we come across any girl’s or woman’s achievements. It feels like a victory for all the women who have struggled for years to get basic rights, acknowledgments, and opportunities. Today, women are setting examples by achieving milestones at a young age in their respective fields of expertise. And we have yet another example to be proud of and this time it is by Akanksha Vyavahare. The young girl who hails from Maharashtra is making headlines for creating a National record in the 40kg weightlifting category.
The Khelo India National Ranking Women’s Weightlifting Tournament which started on October 21, Friday is being held in Ghaziabad, Noida. Akanksha Vyavahare created the National record on the first day of the tournament itself. In fact, she accomplished this record in all score categories- Snatch, Clean and Jerk, and Total. As per the reports on her achievements, Akanksha is said to beat her own National record in Snatch for the 60 kg category. Phase 2 of this tournament witnessed this glorious moment by Akanksha Vyavahare. Mirabai Chanu who is a popular name in the weightlifting world and has many accolades to her name was present at the event too, and also spoke about the opportunities this platform is giving to the girls.

Akanksha is clearly making us all proud. It is encouraging to see that women are gaining recognition in a sport like weightlifting which was always considered to be a male-dominated sport.
