Ajay Devgn Talks About Daughter Nysa Devgn Getting Trolled For Going To A Salon. Matlab, Trolls Have A Problem With Anything

Okay so here is the thing, memes and trolls are perfectly okay when they are needed. If there is something happening in the country that we need to bring people’s attention to, or if a public figure has said something that needs calling out, we think memes work better than your regular news report. That is when trolling is okay, but it seems like people have lost track of this logic. Now there are just lying in wait to personally attack not only celebrities but even their children, for no apparent reason at all. I don’t see how this is fun for anyone.

A kid is still a kid no matter who their parents are. They are impressionable and getting trolled on social media ruthlessly is a horrible environment for them. This troll culture needs to be stopped or at least curbed. No parent wants to see their children being mocked on social media and that is exactly what Ajay Devgn has finally broken his silence on all the trolling his 16-year-old daughter Nysa faces.

Before we get into what he said, let’s recap a little. Earlier this year, Nysa lost her grandfather Veer Devgn. Naturally, the whole family was mourning his passing. The next day she was photographed leaving a salon and that was made into a huge thing. Trolls commented on the paparazzi picture calling her out for going to salon when she had just lost her grandfather. There were also a lot of questions about Ajay and Kajol’s parenting.

In a recent interview, Ajay finally spoke about how this incident affected his family. He said “They (trolls) really don’t know what’s going on. I’ll give you an example, I never spoke about this. When I lost my father, second day, the kids were very upset. Nysa was crying all day and people were home, there were a lot of people. You know how the atmosphere is. I called her, I said stop being upset. Because you have to, they are kids. ‘Why don’t you go out, have something and come, eat something and come or things like this. She said I don’t want to go. I told her you please go, there will be a change of mood. They are here, we are handling people, we are doing it. You just go out. She didn’t know where to go, she left and she went to a parlour. I said go get a hair wash or something. They have clicked pictures of her entering a parlour and they have trolled her. ‘Grandfather just died and she’s in the parlour’. What right do they have? I am sending her so that she feels better, she’s going through a trauma. What right do they have to say that? It’s ridiculous. And then she’s come back howling. By the time she got back home, the pictures were out already.”

What I don’t understand is, who gives these people the right to judge someone? Nysa is 16-years old mourning the loss of her grandfather. Everyone deals with grief differently, going to the salon was probably her way of coping. Why must she be given so much crap about it?

Another time Nysa was trolled was for wearing “inappropriate clothing” to a temple. On another occasion, she was trolled for applying too much makeup at Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali bash this year. They went as far as calling her a “make up ki dukan” (Make up shop) Honestly, this is getting out of hand.

In the same interview, Ajay also said “People are clicked everywhere, there are some rubbish comments that come. It harms children. What have they done wrong? 9, 10, 15-year-old kids and you’ve started judging them.”

From Suhana Khan to little Taimur Ali Khan, star kids are constantly in the public eye and it can’t be easy for them. I mean, we all remember what it is like being a 16-year-old teenager, right? Young and carefree, walking around in a pair of shorts and flipflops. Your biggest worry at that age is that exam you aren’t prepared for and that is exactly how it is supposed to be.

On the flip side, star kids face immense pressure every day and all because they were born to famous parents. They need to be dolled up whenever they leave the house, and if they aren’t, they are subjected to mean comments on Twitter and Instagram. Mincing words and walking on eggshells become a part of their lifestyle. They have got to be ultra vigilant of everything a normal teenager doesn’t think twice about. I don’t have any kids, but the day I do I wouldn’t want them to have to grow up with such ridiculous limitations. That is exactly why Ajay’s concerns are so valid.

It is the job of the paparazzi to click and post the pictures. Of course, when it comes to children of celebrities that too, is terrible. But what is worse is turning those pictures into trolls to make fun of them, which is nothing short of cyberbullying.

Let’s stop tolerating this bullshit behaviour, now? It has gone on long enough.
