Sultan Of Brunei’s Daughter Wore 3 Royal Attires And An Emerald Tiara At Her Wedding. It’s Stunning!

Royal weddings are nothing less than a dream. Resembling a movie-like aesthetic, the celebration of love by royal families is always accompanied by longer trains, crisp formals and a magnificent display of family rituals. I mean a true blue fairy tale. An example of which was Princess Fadzillah Lubabul, the daughter of the Sultan of Brunei, and Abdullah Al-Hashemi’s royal wedding. Followed by a week-long celebration, the 36-year-old Princess Fadzillah is the daughter of Hajah Mariam, the Sultan’s second wife. Popularly known as the ‘sporty princess,’ she is one amongst the twelve children of one of the world’s wealthiest royals with a net worth that is upwards of $20 billion, according to Forbes. The proceedings kicked off on January 16, with the wedding ceremony on Thursday in Istana Nurul Iman– the official residence of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, which is also one of the largest palaces in the world. Dressed up in red for the wedding ceremony, the princess’ outfit featured golden yellow embroidery all over the slim-fitting traditional wedding gown, layered with a brocade fan corset and a gold belt. Her ensemble also included a statement crown, worn over floral headgear. While the groom was spotted dressed in crisp brocade formals for the royal nuptials.

Later, the couple opted for an all-white look for Istiadat Bersanding Diraj (a ceremony where the couple is presented as husband and wife for the first time). Dressed in a beautiful white gown, with intricate lacework, embellished diamonds, the ensemble featured a long white veil sealed with a tiara on her head. And the groom was seen dressed in a ceremonial military dress, embellished with golden details.

The royal newlyweds co-ordinated in the shade grey for their wedding reception. Princess Fadzilah looked beautiful in a grey-sequinned long gown, a matching veil with intricate silver details on the hem and diamond-encrusted jewellery pieces. The show-stopper worthy piece in her ensemble was the beautiful emerald tiara, which was a piece of the princess’ family heirloom, belonging to Queen Saleha, the Sultan’s wife. Her groom too made a spectacular appearance in a grey sherwani-esque silhouette, with a saafa in the same shade and a gold brooch.

According to a report, the venue witnessed Royal Regalia and Pemajangan decorations, a form of arrangement only reserved for royal festivities including royal processions, coronations, and also installation of the Crown Prince. An active polo player and equestrian, Princess Fadzillah is the captain of Brunei’s national netball team and often participates in marathons and charity polo matches. She got engaged to Abdullah Al-Hashemi on December 31, 2021, but  the royals have not revealed much information about the groom.
