Kim Kardashian never fails to surprise us with both her onscreen and offscreen life updates. And this time stealing the spotlight is her much talked about shapewear brand SKIMS. Inviting the world of glam’s most iconic personalities, the new campaign of the shapewear brand found its poster girls in Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel. Inviting the OG supermodels for a brand new shoot, Kim wisely advertised her ‘Fits Everybody’ collection for the latest Icons campaign. The images and model selection aims to celebrate “strength, energy and everlasting allure,” of trailblazer of their time. As seen in the pictures, Victoria’s Secret Angel women looked stunning in SKIMS’ muted tonal bodysuits, and bikini sets. While facing the camera after many years could be a task, and expressing a similar thought were these supermodels. Talking about her first reaction to the invite, Tyra Banks shared a note on her Instagram handle, “I hadn’t modelled lingerie and undergarments since I retired from the runway, but it was like riding a bike. The poses came back even fiercer than before!”

Truly iconic and how, Ms Kardshian who is known for her curating some never-seen-before campaigns for her label SKIMS, couldn’t keep herself away from the camera lens for this particular shoot and jumped right in. I mean, that’s not what we said, Kim told it herself in an Instagram post “OK so I wasn’t supposed to be in this campaign but I stopped by and jumped in because it was too iconic” (Who wouldn’t wanna be photographed with these icons in the same frame?). The women as we know them, have served as Victoria Secrets’ most popular angels, with Tyra being the first Black woman to have signed a contract with them, until the label switched gears for a fresher approach towards inclusivity and diversity (pretty much a stunt).

While the launch is as exciting as it looks in the images, Twitter niwasis too gave full marks for the model selection. From calling the campaign, “Iconic,” commenting “SKIMS is so smart & for choosing these fiercer 2 in 90’s” to “These women are serving looks” the approval is loud and clear, amongst a few who dug deep to call it a ‘photoshop.’

Talking about Kim K’s brand–SKIMS that refuses to leave news headlines, the label ever since its launch in 2019 has been dealing in shapewear and loungewear. Most recently, it announced its explorations in the beach wear department too, when Kim served the internet with some hot bod photoshoot, to announce her new line of swim wear.
