Priyanka Chopra Joins Keanu Reeves And Carrie Anne Moss At ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ Premiere

Red carpets are always fun. Presenting an array of fresh and exciting fashion, premiere nights bring out the best in every starry wardrobe. And as we talk about one such scintillating night, The Matrix Resurrections premiere that took place in California, US, was definitely a stage for some startling celebrity looks. Presenting a line-up of the film franchise’s star-studded cast, actors Keanu Reeves, Priyanka Chopra, Carrie Anne Moss, Neil Patrick Harris and Jada Pinkett Smith graced the premiere night. From bright oranges, deep greens to statement black, here is a list of my favourite looks that walked the red carpet on Saturday night.

Priyanka Chopra

Making a statement in sequins, the actress opted for a stunning piece by designer Halpern. The strapless silver dress with a knee-high slit came attached to a statement burnt orange lame plisse fan from the designer’s Spring 2018 collection. Opting for the stunning colour palette, the shades are said to be an ode to her character Sati, in the upcoming instalment of the film. Priyanka Chopra completed her ensemble with a pair of shimmery Christian Louboutin heels and jewellery by Bvlgari (what a stunner).

Carrie-Ann Moss

The infamous Trinity from The Matrix Resurrections walked the rather green carpet wearing a delicate-statement worthy black Oscar de la Renta gown. With a million glittery green and silver lines (replicating the film’s signature lines of code) approaching the centre of the dress, the custom-made attire came attached with a black cape, accessorised with green triangular ear-drops and some rings adding to the stack of minimal jewellery.

Keanu Reeves

Channelising his infamous on-screen character Neo, actor Keanu Reeves opted for a classic black suit and striped tie. He completed the simple ensemble with suede shoes, punctuating the all-black look.

Neil Patrick Harris

Donning a stunning green and mauve Berluti Fall 2021 Menswear ombre suit, actor Neil Patrick Harris opted for an unconventional suiting choice. Layering the multi-hued blazer over a turtleneck in the same shade, the actor chose to wear finger rings and black nails (the new cool), and I am wondering if the ensemble could look any better (the answer to which is ofc, no. It’s perfect).

Jada Pinkett Smith

Red is here to stay and this Giambattista Valli couture piece on Jada Pinkett Smith is here to prove. Wearing an extremely ruched mini dress in the spicy shade of red, the actress completed the look with red tights, a pair of stilettos, silver ear cuffs and the show stopper voluminous train attached to the dress.

Eréndira Ibarra

Joining the cast, actress Eréndira Ibarra experimented with the classic black dress as she wore a stunning design by designer Marika Vera. Crafted with semi-black velvet, and sheer fabric at the side panel, she accessorised the look with gold and diamond jewels by Mexican label Ero. Topping the all-black look with orange lips and a braided low bun, the ensemble definitely made it to one amongst the daring looks at the event.

Madelyn Cline

The Outer Banks star too came dressed in black featuring a futuristic silhouette. The Alexandre Vauthier Official Haute Couture Summer 2021 design highlighted a structured bodice, padded shoulders and a middle black panel. Accessorising the look with diamond thread earrings, gelled up hair, kohl eyes and black pumps with a silver band, the added elements elevated the risqué silhouette.

The Matrix Resurrections, directed by Lana Wachowski, will officially be released in theatres on December 22, 2021.
