4 DIY Bracelets That You Can Stack Up This Festive Season

By  |

Layering is the talk of the fashion world right now and we aren’t complaining. From necklaces to jackets, layers make sure you stand out from the crowd, in a good way. And while I’ll take some time to get used to this trend, stacked bracelets have always caught my attention. Bracelets are perfect if you want to go minimalist route while accessorising or when you don’t feel like putting in too much effort to dress up. While just one statement bracelet can do wonders, now is the time to mix up a few types and make your wrists look colourful.

With the festive season upon us, your mums must be going crazy buying jewellery for everyone. While my mother has her heart set on buying gold bangles for me, I think bangles are too regular. Like what’s the point of spending so much on something I’ll never wear often? Bracelets, on the other hand, are like the cooler sisters of bangles. You can wear them every day and don’t need a special occasion to sport them. So I’ve found the perfect way to please my mom and keep myself happy — by converting bangles into bracelets!

There are some amazing ones that you can buy, but if you’re like me and have a little time on your hands over the weekend, go ahead and make some with your girlfriends. This is one DIY where you can let your imagination run wild and let your creative juices flow. Take old bangles and add charms to them. Use thread, add some beads, and your very own colourful accessory is ready. The best part is in making them as personalised you can. Once you’re done, you’ll want to show it off to the world.

Check out this video below on how to make really cute ones that you can wear together in layers or separately. Wear them with casuals to your next brunch, or with your Indian outfit with a pretty bindi!
