‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’ Teaser Is Here And Exchange Of Gender Roles Is Truly Refreshing!
As someone who finds it hard to get excited about things, especially upcoming movies and series, I really get intrigued when I find something that does excite me. I felt that way when I watched the teaser by Netflix for their upcoming thriller Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. The show is by Sidharth Sengupta who is known for shows such as Balika Vadhu. The cast includes brilliant actors such as Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi and Anchal Singh as the lead and Saurabh Shukla, Surya Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Arunoday Singh, Anant Joshi, Sunita Rajwar and Hetal Gada among others are a part of this project too.
I watched the teaser of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein and to say that I was super invested is an understatement. Tahir Raj Bhasin who has been seen giving an amazing performance in Rani Mujherjee’s Mardani is finally getting a lead role in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. Can we just talk about the amazing narration in the background by Bhasin? As someone who values good narration and voice acting a lot, I genuinely enjoyed him voicing the story.
Also, I absolutely love Shweta Tripathi and she is criminally underrated, in my opinion. She is a childhood face for many of us and I still remember seeing her play a bubbly teen in Disney Shows and then grow into a talented woman in a movie such as Masaan. I honestly cannot wait to see her in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. The series also features Anchal Singh who was seen in Akshay Kumar’s Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and have been wanting to see more of her ever since.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is a story of crime and passion which shows the lives of a happy couple, completely turned around as a powerful politician’s daughter is willing to go to any lengths to keep the man she wants. I absolutely love the exchange of gender roles here where there is a woman relentlessly pursuing a man to the point of harassment. The series is set to release on Netflix on January 14, 2022.
The stakes are high and the story is thrilling. I am so ready to sit and watch this series. With the slew of brilliant and talented young actors, this show is all set to be a hit. The excitement around Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is palpable. Will it live up to the hype? Only time will tell.
