While conversing with IANS, Shilpa Shinde called herself a little “orthodox” with certain beliefs and confessed that she doesn’t like seeing women smoke. She called it her personal opinion. Expanding more on it, the actress stated that bodness is different. Adding that just because someone smokes, drinks, or wears certain clothes doesn’t make them bold. During the same conversation, actress Pervin Dastur reportedly stated that she has seen girls in salwar kameez standing in paan shops and smoking. Shilpa stated that she likes women wearing saris, but she was not talking about clothes. According to the actress, “A woman should know herself, her values, and who she is. That’s what matters.” She added that ,many girls think that by wearing something short and in a particular way they will appear bolder, but it’s not like that. Shilpa clarified that one can wear a saree or modern clothes, but the clothes don’t define one’s mindset, and one’s mindset doesn’t depend on their clothes.
