Love And War: Carpenter Dies On SLB’s Film Set Due To Electric Shock, FWICE Lists Demands

An unfortunate incident occurred on the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love And War. A worker died on the set due to electrocution. It reportedly happened in Mumbai, and the initial investigation is ongoing. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees has made strong demands for the victim and his family. Worker Died On Love And War Set

As per a report by Hindustan Times, the worker named Chandradhari Singh Yadav, a carpenter on the set of Love And War, died in the early hours of June 17. The worker reportedly suffered an electric shock, as revealed during the initial investigation of the incident. It happened while actor Alia Bhatt was shooting, and going by the reports, the unfortunate incident happened at Royal Pump Studio in Mumbai’s Film City. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali production has offered Chandradhari’s family compensation of Rs 40 lakhs. However, FWICE has made other demands for the grieving family, and the first one is to raise the compensation amount.

What Are FWICE Demands?

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees has intervened in the matter. They have set a few demands for the victim’s family. The production house has offered the family Rs 40 lakhs in compensation, but FWICE has demanded Rs 50 lakhs and is pushing for it. They are concerned about the future and education of the victim’s younger daughter. They have reiterated the urgent need to prioritise workers’ safety and security on set, and the FWICE president, BN Tiwari, has further called for strict safety measures. FWICE has reportedly demanded that the victim’s wife be given a job by the production house to ensure that the family has a stable income.
