Neena Gupta On Being Body-Shamed!
While conversing with CNN-News 18, Neena Gupta recalled wearing a saree earlier and adjusting it, which made her look a bit bulky near her waist. She reflected, “People were like, ‘At my age, 60, am I pregnant?’” However, she didn’t stop there; Neena reportedly asked her team to say she was actually pregnant. The veteran actress also gave simple advice to people around her to say that they are pregnant if someone body-shames them. It’s worth noting that this is not the first time Neena Gupta has recalled an incident from her past. In her previous interviews, the actress has also spoken about her experiences from her professional and personal life.
Neena Gupta On Her Marriage
During Neena Gupta’s chat with Shubahkar Mishra, she was asked if she married Vivek Mehra for love. The actress answered that it was a very tough question and that she doesn’t understand love. The actress revealed that she only understands the love she has for her daughter, Masaba. The Vadh 2 star shared that she got married out of necessity and expressed that if one wants to live in society, they have to obey certain rules. Neena revealed that she learned this from her own life experiences. She also spoke about the difficulties single women face. The actress recalled feeling uncomfortable about being viewed in a certain way when she would step out. The veteran star said, “Shaadi karlo sab theek ho jata hai.” (Get married, everything will be okay). She added that it’s a very sad thing, but it’s “true.” While highlighting how life can be for single women, Neena Gupta stated that this does not mean one should tie the knot with anyone.
