Dipika Kakar Says She Was Body Shamed During Her Illness. Shameful!

Television actor Dipika Kakar recently revealed the body-shaming experience she went through during her illness. The Sasural Simar Ka star said that many commented on her weight gain. She mentioned that she couldn’t lose weight because of her deteriorating health at the time in her recent vlog, which is sad. Read to learn more about what she said here.

During her YouTube vlog, Dipika Kakar spoke about her battles with weakness, nausea, vomiting, and tiredness. Her husband Shoaib Ibrahim often documents their daily life and gives updates on the actor’s health. During a similar episode, she talked about the body-shaming she faced while being sick. She said that she couldn’t lose weight due to the same and that many people commented on her body. Kakar said that she was not in the “mental frame” of shedding the weight and that she was eating a lot at the time.

She further mentioned that when one goes through an illness, they become more aware of their appearance. The TV star said that sometimes dressing up and maintaining yourself makes them feel more confident about themselves. Dipika recalled doing the same, especially putting effort into her hair. She also spoke about how she kept a smile on through all of this and also sent love to her supporters. Kakkar admitted that she was not a “superwoman” and that there were days when she felt sick, but always tried to feel positive about the same.
