Despite CBFC’s Approval, Saffron Bikini From ‘Besharam Rang’ To Get Removed?

As we all know, the film Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham made a lot of headlines and most of them were about the song ‘Besharam Rang’. Many people criticised the song and said that it is vulgar because Deepika is wearing a saffron swimsuit in it while dancing with SRK. The latest update is that the makers of the film are reportedly planning to remove the saffron bikini shots from the song despite CBFC’s approval.

For the unversed, Pathaan received a UA certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification after ten cuts in the film and the song ‘Besharam Rang. However, the controversial saffron bikini that Deepika wore in the song got approved by the CBFC and its chairperson Prasoon Joshi. According to the reports, the Central Board of Film Certification and Joshi collectively decided to let Deepika Padukone’s saffron bikini remain as it is in the song ‘Besharam Rang’.
They suggested that close-up shots of buttocks, side-pose, and sensuous dance movements during the lyrics “Bahut Tang Kiya” should be removed. According to the ETimes report, the makers of Pathaan are planning to remove the saffron bikini shots from the music video before it causes more damage and it is currently under serious discussion.
Earlier, Prasoon Joshi, the chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification had mentioned that the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer went due and through examining process as per the guidelines and the committee advised several changes in the film and the songs. The committee told the makers to submit the revised version of Pathaan before its release.
