On January 11, Wednesday, for the first time in the history of Indian Cinema, one of its movies won the prestigious Golden Globe Award in the song category. This moment was only made possible because of SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in lead roles. The energetic and upbeat song ‘Naatu Naatu’ deserved every inch of praise and acknowledgement on this global stage. And actor Priyanka Chopra is elated to see this. Taking to her social media account, Priyanka shared a video of Jenna Ortega’s announcement of the winning song, which is doing rounds on social media. She tagged the director and cast of the movie and congratulated them on this win. Priyanka Chopra also highlighted that RRR became the first Asian film to bag a win in the song category of the Golden Globe Award. And termed this moment a significant one in Indian cinema.
